About Us

About the Gastelum Family

If you were to ask our kids who is apart of their family they would tell you: Well there is our Dad Paul, our Mom Amber, Us the twins  Markus and Milkayla and our dog China. We can't remember what our life was like before she came to be with us. She fit right in and became one of the Gastelums from the first day we got her.

What started our family looking for a pet was when we started to notice our kids being afraid to be around animals. Being both animal lovers and owners of pets in our younger years. We felt it was essential for our family to own a pet. Not only would this provide a ease and comfort with animals. But to learn to care,  be kind and above all learn to respect all of Gods creatures.

We did a large amount of research in dog pedigrees. Being an affectionate and active family who loves the outdoors, fishing and camping. We felt a Labrador would be the best fit.

Since China has come into this family we have seen such a positive change in our children. Especially our son Markus. Him and China have a bond that is special.  They spend hours outside playing together. Snuggles and rolling runarounds are a must through out the day.  China waits by the window for the kids to come home from school. As soon as the kids arrive home the head straight to their dog for kisses. The children have grown in their respect for animals. They are no longer afraid of dogs or other animals. But welcome them with excited and happy arms.

We  are a Christian family who fell in love with the Labrador breed. It inspired us to want to share our dog China's outstanding qualities with those who are looking for a remarkable addition to the family. We are dedicated dog owners who strongly believe that with the proper training, care, exercise and affection you will get an excellent addition to your family.

Our belief in Cesar Millan method

Does it work? Yes! We started from the day we brought her home. And we practice it today.  Being previous dog owners we felt that we wanted to try a new approach to raising a family dog. It was hard to change our thinking at first. But once we started seeing results we kept with it. We are still a work progress and always learning. But, we feel that if you stick with it. It will bring out those special qualities you love in the Labrador Breed.
